Emily from STRAW London: "Our collaboration with HERD is a result of two very likeminded brands coming together. HERD's pioneering sustainable practices as well as the finest plant dyed wool made them the perfect partner for us to work with, we are so proud of the bonnet and cannot wait to wear it all winter.
Inspired by the symmetry of a wheat sheaf, with neat ribbed trims and a shaped neck tie, the STRAW x HERD Bonnet is a knitted piece of heaven to wear all winter on the head or tied around the neck.
Proudly made from soil to skin in the U.K, our knitwear is born of a unique narrative rooted in its place of origin.
Wool - The STRAW x HERD Bonnet is made from our very own traceable soft Bluefaced Leicester sheep wool, which we source ourselves at a fair price from farmers in N.W. England, and make into yarn within 150 miles of the farms. We then either blend the yarn to make natural shades, or dye using plant extracts and naturally occurring mordants. Our buttons are made from nuts, our labels are 100% cotton, so your knit is fully circular.
Washing - Wool requires minimal washing. Spot clean and air, or hand wash in cool water if absolutely necessary to preserve the natural oils in the wool.
Size & fit - The STRAW x HERD Bonnet is one size.
Colours - Available in Ecru, Jam, Claret and Moss.
